We are one church in many places
San Diego Anglicans are a diverse collection of Anglican Churches connected through our common geography, mission, and worship of our Lord Jesus. We are part of the Diocese of Western Anglicans which is a constituent member of the Anglican Church in North America.
We exist to empower our churches to reach greater San Diego with the transforming love of Jesus Christ. As a deanery, we accomplish this goal by focusing on joint events and fellowship, clergy care, clergy formation, and church planting.
Who we are
As Anglicans we are part of a larger body than just the local church family – we are part of the Anglican Church of North America which encompasses all of North America and the Diocese of Western Anglicans which spans approximately 40 churches over many states. The San Diego Anglican Deanery is a group of 8 local churches in San Diego county.
The San Diego Anglican Deanery beautifully represents the broadness of the Anglican tradition. We are charismatics, traditionalists, evangelicals, and Anglo-catholics. We are a multi-generational and diverse group of churches all seeking to live into the Anglican way of being Christian.
Our eight churches stretch from Fallbrook to National City and from Poway to Carlsbad. We embrace the ancient liturgy of the historic Church done in modern ways that are accessible and engaging for all. We welcome you to join us and experience the richness of the Anglican tradition.
